HILLARIOUS

Some INDO-PAK news that makes you laugh!

1. Previously, India was a part of Pakistan

2. Indian terrorist caught for triggering the Lahore blast. The poor Talibani's who had planned and executed the blast didn't get their credit and took responsibility for the attack a day later.

3. Zardari: We will fight till the last drop of blood.
So you have made up your mind you'll have to fight till the last drop of blood.

4. Pakistan High Commissioner to US: We want counselor access for Ajmal.
He had forgotten that only citizens of a country get counselor access. :P

5. We want hard evidence. I some how find this statement very amusing. Right since I was born on 26th December, 1989, I have been hearing the same statement.

I'm sure I'll end up getting more of these due to some great Pakistani Ministers and Diplomats

1. it is necessary to understand that all people who read your blog have been brought up believing in our version of the india-pakistan dispute. we conveniently believe our history textbooks without questioning them in any way whatsoever. "india was a part of pakistan" is no less true than "pakistan was a part of india". it's a simple play of words. it means the same thing.

2. it is possible that the lahore blast was carried out by the taliban. that does not mean india has had no part to play in any sort of terror strike on pakistani soil. the world is not black and white. i am not ready to believe we're the good guys all the time. it is hard to believe we have not incited any sort of violence on pakistani soil since independence.

3. zardari said he will fight till the last drop of blood as an assurance to the pakistani people who believe that india are going to attack pakistani soil, thanks to pakistani news channels. let's just call them pakistan's version of india tv. the point i am trying to make is - yes, that statement was made, but it has been taken out of context.

4. pakistan simply states that there is no proof of ajmal being a pakistani citizen. with the best of efforts, it is hard to believe this.

5. pakistan suffers as many, rather more, terror strikes than india (i am sure you will agree to that). like us, they now have a democratic form of government wherein the rule of law prevails. whilst evidence may have been provided, it may be inconclusive. the rule of law works on the dictum that one is innocent until proven guilty. in order to prove it, conclusive evidence (as defined in the pakistani constitution) needs to be provided, failing which the perpetrators will not be brought to book and such attacks will sadly continue. i look at it as an intelligence failure on our part to not have gathered inconclusive evidence in the true sense of the word.

now before you have a go at me, remember - these are not my views. i am just trying to look at the whole issue from a pakistani perspective. not all points i raise above are - as you are thinking - bullshit. read them again, there is some substance in what i am saying.

and this comment is going to widely popularise your blog :P. you have to buy me a kfc chicken zinger in return.
